2009 Festival We are looking for a logo!
The Town of Farmville Dogwood Festival Committee is looking for an innovative, creative and colorful logo for its 2009 Dogwood Festival to be held in April. The winning logo will receive a cash prize of $500.
Background: This year will be the 22nd year of the Festival. It is a family-oriented, fun filled weekend that showcases all Farmville has to offer in fulfillment of its brand "Experience our Community."
Specifications:
The logo must be easily reduced or enlarged in size (without loss of detail). It will be used on banners and signage (large), programs, cups (stadium size) and
t-shirts. It will also be displayed in various media formats such as newspaper and television.
The most popular logos in the past have incorporated the Dogwood Flower/Tree in the design using traditional colors. A four-color process is preferred. The t-shirt colors for 2009 will be pale pink and heather grey. Approximate pantone colors for the shirts are: PANTONE 1895 PC

Please provide your design in a gif or tif format as an attachment to dogwoodfestival@farmville-nc.com by January 29th. If you have questions about the format or design, please send an email to this same address. Please specify the Pantone Colors used in the design. And, please provide the design in an approximate 3" x 4" size, suitable for a t shirt with the logo appearing on the front left pocket placement and a size suitable for placement on the backside of the t-shirt. The words" Farmville Dogwood Festival 2009" should be compatible with the design and either incorporated as a separate compatible design or as part of the logo itself. Please specify the font and colors you use.

2008 Festival
 The Farmville Dogwood Festival, now in its 21st year, is a celebration of the community and of spring. The Festival, which attracts approximately 15,000 guests each year, is held on the last full weekend in April and has gained a reputation as one of the preeminent community festivals in eastern North Carolina. Set amidst the charming small town atmosphere of Farmville's Town Common and Main Street areas, the Festival offers a wide variety of activities and entertainment for every member of the family. The musical components of the Festival feature performances by local and regional artists, as well as, nationally known entertainers. Craft persons, artists and commercial firms come from far and near to display and offer their creations and products to festival goers. An extensive selection of foods are offered each year promising to offer something to tempt every palate. The Festival also offers many special diversions for our younger guests, such as Kid's CoolFest, family-oriented entertainers and amusement rides for all ages. The Festival, with the exception of the amusement rides and the Saturday evening main concert, is offered entirely free of charge to our guests.
