Mission Statement
The Farmville Public Library provides materials, programs, space, and services to inform, inspire, educate and entertain.

Children’s Department
The Children’s Department offers a variety of activities for children, including weekly story times, special events, and annual Summer Reading programs.

Weekly story times for families, groups, and organizations in the library’s children’s activity room are currently held for 2 to 5 year olds each Tuesday at 10:30 am during the school year.  In addition, the Children’s Librarian will present story times at day cares, schools, and similar organizations free of charge.  If you would like to request a story time at your organization, please call the Library at (252) 753-3355, or email Connie Widney at cwidney@farmville-nc.com

Please note that story times will not meet during Pitt County public school breaks or in cases of severe weather.
