Farmville Small Business Incubator

The Farmville Small Business Incubator (SBI) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to help entrepreneurial companies reach their full potential. Completed in August of 2002, this modern facility is designed for emerging light industry. The manufacturing area includes two separate work bays (3,000 sq. ft and 2,400 sq. ft.) and the Training Center boasts a fully-equipped conference room and two furnished offices. Through a unique partnership with Pitt Community College Small Business Center, a variety of small business classes are offered periodically in the conference room as well as free on-site confidential business counseling. Funding for the construction of the Incubator was provided by Farmville's Economic Development Council (EDC) and a USDA grant. Farmville's SBI was recently highlighted in the Business Expansion Journal, a national publication produced by Latitude 3 Media Group in Birmingham, Alabama.

Entrepreneurs and owners of start-up businesses can find additional resources and support at the Small Business Center at Pitt Community College. The Center provides counseling, training, classes and resource information. The courses and services are offered for a nominal fee or free of charge.
